The Courtyard of the Ducal Palace in Urbino, or Courtyard of Honour is the centerpiece of the Renaissance palace of Federico da Montefeltro, built by Luciano Laurana between 1466 and 1472. For the sober decoration inspired by the past, the rhythmic alternation between full and empty and numerous architectural features, the courtyard is one of the emblematic achievements of perspective culture of Urbino Renaissance.
