Saxophone Quartet in Tuscany
The Quartet, born in 2016 in the saxophone class of the “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory in Florence, has quickly established itself as one of the most promising young quartets on the national scene.
Winner of 12 First Prizes and Absolute First Prizes in national and international competitions, twice included among the 15 groups chosen worldwide for the International Chamber Music Campus in Weikersheim (Germany), he has performed in about 80 concerts in Italy, Germany and Hungary, also as a soloist with orchestras and wind groups.
At the same time, he conducts intense didactic activity, both individually and as a quartet, aimed in particular at introducing the little ones to the world of classical music and the saxophone.
The variety of his repertoire (ranging from original compositions for quartet to transcriptions of various kinds) reflects the desire to combine listening enjoyment and quality of the proposal, attention to the needs of the public as well as to the unique identity of the group.

At the same time, he conducts intense didactic activity, both individually and as a quartet, aimed in particular at introducing the little ones to the world of classical music and the saxophone.
The variety of his repertoire (ranging from original compositions for quartet to transcriptions of various kinds) reflects the desire to combine listening enjoyment and quality of the proposal, attention to the needs of the public as well as to the unique identity of the group. Repertoire and service offered The Quartet offers a wide range of services, both thanks to the variety of the repertoire and due to the agility of the formation: since it does not include bulky keyboard instruments or percussion, the Quartet is in fact completely autonomous at the logistical level, it can play seated or standing, thus adapting easily to the most disparate contexts.The type of sound would require favoring an acoustic performance (also given the considerable volume of sound), but where necessary, the group can be amplified without problems.
The Quartet can be requested for the moment of the ceremony, the reception or for both (but the same considerations can apply to any type of event).
As for the ceremony, the sax quartet can represent an original and captivating alternative to the more traditional string quartet: we can in fact offer all the most famous ceremonial pieces (the wedding marches, the Ave Maria by Schubert, the canon of Pachelbel, to name the most popular) as well as music from the classical repertoire (Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi…) and soundtracks (Morricone, Williams, Hisaishi…) suitable for the occasion.
For the reception you can opt for a more swing-blues atmosphere (music by Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Paul Desmond, Scott Joplin ...) or a pop-rock repertoire (Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson ...); for the more demanding listeners, the Quartet can propose pieces from the original repertoire for sax quartet or further classical music arrangements (in particular overture and opera arias and program music).
For both moments we can then deal with particular requests, being able to arrange (with adequate time available and within the technical limits of a wind quartet) pieces of any kind. The peculiarity of the saxophone quartet lies in its great transformation, capable of combining the delicacy of the strings with the power of the brass.
