SARABANDA POP/SWING BAND

Sarabanda is a musical project led by Salvo Samaritano, an experienced singer who made his mark in the 90s by winning (1994) the "Sanremo Nuovi Talenti" competition and making an album with national radio broadcast. Over the years he continued his songwriting and collaboration activity, which will lead him in 2021 to duplicate an album that already summarizes in the title, "Convergenze", his history of collaborations with the great interpreters of Italian pop music: The album sees the participation of authors and performers such as Mario Venuti, Nino Bonocore, Mariella Nava, Bungaro, Rosario Di Bella, Gianni Donzelli and Vittorio de Scalzi.  

The standard formation of Sarabanda is the quartet (Voice, piano, bass and drums), but the group is flexible both in the repertoire, which ranges from Italian and international pop music to the Italian swing of the golden years, from rumba to jazz and bossa nova, and in the number and type of elements, to meet the needs of atmosphere and space of each individual show, party and private event. From the piano and voice duo, for a relaxed and not very invasive atmosphere, to the 5tet with rhythm section and soloist, for a more complete and engaging show, with a dance interlude on request. In private events and weddings, throughout the country, Sarabanda will take care of everything needed to sound the event in every phase and in every environment, with live music and with moments of musical diffusion of songs to listen to and in the background.
